Information /History of Archery

Archery is one of humanity’s oldest skills, dating back over 10,000 years. First developed as a vital tool for hunting and survival, it later became a key part of warfare across ancient civilisations such as Egypt, China, and England. Over time, archery evolved from necessity into a celebrated sport, art, and cultural tradition. Today, it is enjoyed worldwide as both a recreational pastime and a competitive discipline, blending precision, focus, and heritage in every shot.

Buying a bow at a shop should take a long time, with over two hours to try multiple options, select your bow, have it set up, have arrows made and test firing. It is not uncommon for there to be long waits at popular times in shops, and so it is advised to turn up early.
